about the Dialogue:
The Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature has initiated the creation and conduct of international library dialogues since the 1990s.

The US-Russia Library Dialogue was organized in 2016 at the initiative of the Library for Foreign Literature and the Russian Library Association. The US co-organizer was an initiative group of library specialists and the American Library Association.

The dialogue affirms the role of modern libraries as active participants in the life of local communities. Its goal is to create a platform to support free exchange of ideas and best practices in the development and transformation of libraries in order to create a more connected and open to change global library community. By now three meetings have already taken place: in April 2017 in Dayton (Ohio, USA), in May 2018 in Suzdal (Vladimir region, Russia), and in September 2019 in Chicago and Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, USA).
